Do you have the right over your own bag when you go to a movie theater? A lawyer says no.
During the Iron Man 3 premiere weekend, Carmike Theater in Winston-Salem hired two police officers to check bags of people going to see a movie.
The theater manager told WFMY News 2 the bag search was to prevent something like what happened in Aurora, CO last summer.
A WFMY News 2 viewer emailed asked if bag searches at movie theaters is a violation of 4th amendment rights. Attorney Robert O'Hale from law firm Clifford, Clendenin & O'Hale in Greensboro explained your rights and when your property can and can not be search.
