The Good Morning Show is going international and taking you to India. Saturday is the 8th Annual India Fest at Winston Square Park in Winston-Salem. There will be tons of food, entertainment, and free giveaways.
For the past seven years thousands of people go to India Fest and it's easy to see why. It's a complete treat for your senses - from the amazing colors, bold flavors, and upbeat dance moves. We previewed all the fun you can expect this Saturday with the organizers of India Fest. We showed you the different kinds of dishes from breakfast to dinner and how to make masala chai tea from scratch. Then we moved on to the gorgeous and intricate fashions women can wear. You can also get a henna tattoo for $2 and all of the money goes to charity. A henna tattoo is made from a leaf, it's all-natural, and is a symbol of celebration. Then there's the dancing... when you hear the beat of bhangra music you can't help but smile. We showed you how to do a bhangra move and previewed the kind of energy you'll see at the event. Lastly, we wrapped everything up with a Bollywood ending. Bollywood is India's version of Hollywood and it's a dancing finale you'll can't miss!
India Fest is this Saturday, May 4th, at Winston Square Park on 310 N. Marshall Street in Winston-Salem. There will be food, dancing, and free giveaways while supplies last. You could get free bangles and tickets to bhangra class.
