Greensboro, NC -- Grace United Methodist Church set out to reach a lofty goal back in March, and Sunday, members saw their hard work pay off after that goal was shattered.
Grace United announced it was working with the "Soles 4 Souls" program to collect 2,500 pairs of shoes to send to people who need them in Haiti.

The collection started in mid-March and the church collected its last pair of shoes Easter Sunday. After the final tally came in, the church learned it collected 8,730 pairs of shoes!
Sunday, church members wrapped and boxed shoes to prepare them for shipping; church staff says they boxes were stacked to the ceiling in one of the church's classrooms!
