Dr. Darryll Williams Offers Tips To Help You Manage Your Stress

Greensboro, NC - Life can be stressful.  From your job, to your family and your bills.  It all adds up and at some point we all get stressed out.  But before you lose it completely, there's help. 

Dr. Darryll Williams, a Chiropractic Physician at The Joint in Greensboro says stress boils down to three basic categories.  Physical stresses, such as traumas to the body or everyday habits like sitting or standing with poor posture  for long periods of time.  There's emotional stresses, such as anxiety, worrying or frustration.  And chemical stresses which include our dietary habits or consumption of alcohol or smoking cigarettes.

"Regardless of which type of stress you have, it will begin to manifest in the nervous system, which controls everything in our bodies," said Dr. Williams.  "With that being said, if the nervous system is not working at an optimal level, neither is the rest of your body.  This could be why research is showing that 70 to 80% of illnesses are related to stress."

Stress can present itself in many ways such as muscle tightness, headaches, migraines and neck or back pain.
