A lot of us text more than we use the phone, and that has made dating more confusing. So much so that 69% of single people don't know when they're actually on a date!
They ask themselves, "Is this a date? Or are we just hanging out?"
This is from an online survey of more than 2,600 singles ages 18 to 59. Forty-four percent said texting has made dating more difficult, while 56% said no. Eighty percent agree that a date is a "planned one-on-one hangout" while 24% say it's a date when it's a planned evening with a group of friends.
Now, when it comes to paying the bill, 69% of men believe the man should pay, while 55% of women agree. They survey also found 23% said the person who initiates the date should pay.
The study was commissioned by ChristianMingle.com and JDate.com.
