KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- People looking for a solution to struggles with weight loss can get all the information directly from doctors this month.
Novant Health Bariatric Solutions is offering two free weight loss seminars at Kernersville Medical Center in January. Bariatrics, or the study of the causes and treatments for obesity, will be the center of attention at the sessions.
The seminars will focus on surgical and non-surgical weight loss options. Bariatric surgeons will walk people through the process of weight loss surgery, including the requirements, as well as give information about other medical options.
The first seminar is Monday, Jan. 13 at Kernersville Medical Center. The second is on Jan. 27. The center is located at 1750 Kernersville Medical Pkwy.
There is a required free registration for the event. To RSVP, call 336-564-4950. And, for more information about the seminars, head to the Kernersville Medical Center website.
Novant Health Bariatric Solutions started a year ago at the Medical Center. It features a staff of medical bariatricians, dietitians, psychologists and surgeons to offer comprehensive weight loss options.
WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright spent Sunday morning with some of the doctors from the group to tell you more about the upcoming seminars.
