WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest University is gearing up for a big weekend on the hardwood, and the school's doing it with a newly renovated arena.
Back in August, Wake Forest bought the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum from the City of Winston-Salem. Since then, the school has renovated the Coliseum, which is home to its men's and women's basketball teams.

Following the purchase, the University entered into an agreement with the Greensboro Coliseum. It allows the Coliseum to run any non-school sponsored events, including concerts, festivals and more, at the LJVM Coliseum.

But, this weekend is all about basketball for the Demon Deacons.
You can get a chance to see the men and women in action. The women start conference play against the University of Miami Saturday at 4 p.m. The men play the University of North Carolina Sunday at 8 p.m. Both games are at the LJVM Coliseum.
