This New Year's Eve, the Greensboro Symphony presents a one-of-a-kind concert commemorating John Denver's 70th Birthday, and featuring singer/songwriter Jim Curry with Emmy and Grammy Award Winning Composer Lee Holdridge.
John Denver, the American icon who wrote songs about love, the wilderness, and taking care of the environment, would have been 70 years old this December 31, 2013. His timeless lyrics touched our hearts and resonated with our sense of caring for our earth and caring for each other. As the top performer of John Denver's music today, Jim Curry is dedicated to recreating the experience of a live John Denver concert. Lee Holdridge wrote and arranged the symphony scores for John Denver and toured with Denver in countless symphony concerts. The Tanger Outlets Pops Series brings together these talented with the Greensboro Symphony for one memorable night of uplifting music!
As the sponsor of the New Year's Eve Concert, Hutchinson Wealth Management invites concert-goers to bring non-perishable food items. All donations will be collected to benefit the Greensboro Urban Ministry at this concert.
