GREENSBORO, N.C. -- If you haven't been jamming out to Christmas songs on the radio yet, nothing will get you in the spirit like the classics played by a local band.
Members of the gospel group Faith River joined the Good Morning Show Friday to play instrumental versions of some of their favorite Christmas songs, including "Frosty the Snowman," "Mary Did You Know," "O, Holy Night" and "Jingle Bells."
The group, made up of Jeff Moore, Scotty and Cameron Roten, John Worley and Dan Lankford (absent: vocalists Angela Roten, Sierra Worley, Gary and Sharon Warren, guitarist Perry Parks) play at Triad churches throughout the year. They recently got the opportunity to sing their gospel music in Vermont.
The members have been playing together for years, and in some cases decades, and they make it a point to bring their families along for the ride.
