BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Burlington police officers are spending their weekend at a doughnut shop - but, this isn't a joke.
The officers are participating in a statewide push to raise money for the Special Olympics of North Carolina.
Burlington police officers are standing on top of Krispy Kreme on Huffman Mill Road as a part of the "Cops on Top" campaign.
If you'd like to donate to the program, the officers will be at the Krispy Kreme Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
