Garth Brooks will mark the end of his three-year residency at the Wynn Las Vegas with a network television special.

The top-selling solo recording artist in U.S. history will broadcast his final Wynn show during the two-hour Garth Brooks: Live in Las Vegas on Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.

Brooks began performing the solo concerts, which intersperse his biggest hits with stories and performances of songs that influenced him, at the Wynn in 2009.

"Blame it all on my roots," he says in a statement, quoting his hit Friends in Low Places. "This is the soundtrack of my life. Growing up the last of six kids, music was the life blood of our family and as you can imagine, mom, dad, and each kid had his or her own favorite stuff and it all funneled down to me."

Brooks has been semi-retired since 2001, when he left entertainment to concentrate on raising his three daughters. His youngest, Allie, will graduate from high school in 2014, leading to speculation that Brooks will launch a full-scale tour and perhaps even release a new album next year.

Sunday night, Brooks appeared at the Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Nashville, inducting Kenny Rogers into the Hall. Brooks, who entered the Hall in 2012, said Rogers gave him his first opening spot on a major tour. "If there was an entertainer university, when it comes to Entertainer 101, I can vouch firsthand that Kenny Rogers would be the professor of that class," he said.
