Davidson Co. Woman Returns Home After Missing For 12+ Hours

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Canines, blood hounds, a helicopter and a dive team spent the evening in the cold searching for a missing woman in Davidson County - until she went home on her own.

Norma Kraftchick's husband called the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning around 8:00 after she wandered in the woods behind their home on Nifong Road.

That's in the Davidson County section of  Clemmons.

The Lewisville Water Rescue, Arch Fire Department,Davidson County Rescue Team, and Highway Patrol assisted in the search.

Kraftchick returned home around 9:30 Thursday night. She was taken to a local medical facility for evaluation.

Deputies still don't know where she went all day.
