GREENSBORO, NC-- You multi-task at home, at work, even when you're relaxing it seems you mutli-task!
All that mutli-tasking can mean we forget to do something.
Tech expert Kent Meeker has a remedy for me and you.
"Evernote makes it easy to remember things big and small for your everyday life using your computer, phone, tablet and the web."
The home page says Evernote remembers everything.
That sounds like a broad claim! But Kent, of TechScout, says without Evernote he would be lost.
We hooked up Kent's computer to the big smart board in our newsroom to show you how he uses it. Instead of having a bunch of apps to compile recipes, your to-do list, your christmas ideas for people, your home improvement project, Evernote is the one-stop place.
Kent showed how he has a folder for "kitchen remodel". He can pull in links or pictures from websites. If he buys something he can put the receipt right in there. If there are contractors numbers or direction you need to save, thats the place too.
Evernote has a free version. Ken says its easy to use and set up (even for the technology challenged). He says the system is secure and it's real time sync which helps if you're using it on your computer, tablet and phone so everything is up to date.
The paid Evernote version is $5 a month. This is the one Kent uses. It includes a way to share your notes with others, it has a passcode lock, and even a "text to speech" feature which allows you to "listen" to emails and websites.
Evernote is compatible with iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows. If you have questions about Evernote or anything tech, Kent can be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org
