The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling Doodlebutt Jelly BeadZ Jumbo BeadZ and Magic Growing Fruity Fun water-absorbing polymer toys. The balls come in clear, blue, red, orange, yellow, green, and purple. It also comes with instructions for use. The concern is children can mistake it for candy. If swallowed it can expand inside a child's body and causing intestinal obstructions and could be life threatening. The toys were sold from February 2012 through September 2013 for about $9. There's also a recall for Trek model year 2013 Madone Bicycles. Apparently the front brake can fail causing the bike to crash. It includes model numbers 5.2, 5.9, 6.2, 6.5, 7.7 or 7.9, and serial numbers starting with WTU and ending with G or H. Stop using the bicycles and call Trek for a free replacement front brake system by dialing (800) 373-4594.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is also recalling Shaw Industries Aristocrat II Carpet because it could catch fire. The carpet does not meet federal flammability standards. It was sold at Lowe's Stores. The carpet was sold in one color called "Pale Clay." The carpet reads "USA 760 MEA 52545," the date "06-07-2013."Contact Shaw Industries immediately.
Another recall involves the Coby 32-inch flat screen television. So far the Consumer Product Safety Commission has received six incidents of the televisions overheating, smoking, or catching fire.
