GREENSBORO, NC--High pressure over New England will control Piedmont weather through Sunday. Low pressure will develop along the North Carolina coast Monday then track northeastward on Tuesday.
High pressure will build back over the area for Wednesday and Thursday.
Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 45. Tonight the sky will become partly cloudy with a low of 28. Sunday we will see a mix of sun and clouds with thicker clouds developing later in the day. the high on Sunday will be near 50.
the developing low pressure will spread clouds westward into the Piedmont Sunday night and Monday. the highest chance for rain Monday and Monday night will be in Eastern North Carolina, especially along the coast. The Piedmont Triad will have a 20% shower chance on Monday. the main impact on our weather will be extra clouds. the high on Monday will be 47.
As the low departs, high pressure will build back over the area. It will be partly cloudy Tuesday through Thursday with temperatures moderating to between 50 and 55.
