YADKINVILLE, N.C. -- A teenager is in the Yadkin County Jail facing charges of breaking and entering from a crime that happened almost two weeks ago.
Deputies with the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office said someone saw 19-year-old Nicholas Roy Hawks crawling out from under their neighbor's barn.
Hawks is accused of breaking into and taking items from an unoccupied rental house on Cox Mill Road in Yadkinville.
Deputies said because the neighbor had a vehicle description, officers were able to arrest Cox on Friday, Nov. 22 when he tried to sell the stolen property at a local metal recycler.
Hawks is charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering and Obtaining Property by False Pretense. A magistrate set his bond at $15,000.
