A wildfire that started on Veterans Day and burned thousands of acres in the Linville Gorge is still under investigation.

The US. Forest Service is asking the public for help to find whomever is responsible.

On Thursday, U.S. Forest Service law enforcement officials released a picture, via its website, of a man who may have information concerning the wildfire in the Linville Gorge.

Investigators say that the person in the picture was in the Table Rock picnic area on Veterans Day and may have information that would aid the investigation. Officials believe the person was with a group of other campers and may play the guitar.

Also, there was a truck in the area believed to be a white, 2007-2009 Dodge Ram, possibly a sport model.

U.S. Forest officials says anyone who has information about the person, group of people, or vehicle at the Table Rock picnic area on Veterans Day should call officer Jason Crisp at (828) 442-2470.

A reward may be offered for substantial information.

The Table Rock wildfire burned 2,600 acres in the Linville Gorge.
