If you think voter ID laws don't impact you, think again.
WFMY News 2 looked into a question raised about North Carolina's voter ID law: what if your name no longer matches your voter registration ID? In Texas, voters whose names don't match are asked to fill out an affidavit to allow them to vote.
WFMY News 2 found out that voters in North Carolina will not have to do that. The North Carolina Board of Elections said North Carolina's new voter photo ID law requires you to have a "reasonable resemblance" to your driver's license picture. The law does not require the name on your license to match your voter registration name. If voters' names do not match, they will be given the opportunity to update their name and registration on the spot.
