GREENSBORO, N.C. - He's an award winning artist and illustrator,
and since February, David Gaadt started a new project that he hopes will help ease the pain for families who lost loved ones at the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.
He doesn't personally know the people he's putting in his artwork, but he remembers the tragic event that took their lives.
To pay tribute, he's painting portraits of each person that lost their lives that day.
So far, 19 have been completed and delivered, and he still has seven more on his list.
