WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Hundreds of college students will welcome almost a thousand local children to their campus today for a safe and fun Halloween celebration.
Students at Wake Forest University will host the 25th annual Project Pumpkin festival on campus Wednesday.
Students are working with 20 Winston-Salem organizations to give kids a fun afternoon before Halloween. There are around 700 student volunteers working the event, and the school expects around 850 kids to attend.
Children will be on campus from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Wednesday's event.
WFMY News 2's Patrick Wright talked to students about preparations for the festival on Wednesday's Good Morning Show.
