This story will give us all perspective.
Davion Only is a 15-year-old orphan, who's grown tired of waiting for a foster family. So, he took his case to church. He waited for the preacher to finish at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church to address the 300 people in the pews.
According to Tampa Bay Times, he said:
"My name is Davion and I've been in foster care since I was born. I know God hasn't given up on me. So, I'm not giving up either. I''ll take anyone... Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don't care. And I would be really appreciative... The best I could be."
Many were crying as Davion made his plea. Davion has had a troubled history, but he's improved his grades, his health and brought his anger under control. He knew to find a permanent family, he must work hard.
The adoption agency has gotten hundreds of calls but Davion is not ready to give up. He says, "I know they're out there... Maybe if someone hears my story."
