THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Police in Thomasville say robbery suspects broke into a hobby store by cutting a hole in the ceiling.

Officers said whoever is responsible for the break-in stole more than $7,000 worth of property from Anderson R/C Hobby Shop early Tuesday morning. Among the stolen items were radio-controlled vehicles, according to the police department.

Police did not say how many people were involved in the robbery.

Matt Anderson, one of the business owners, told WFMY News 2 he believes it was an organized burglary.

Anyone with information is asked to call Thomasville Crime Stoppers at (336) 476-8477.
