BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Investigators with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office said DNA evidence linked a Burlington man to a robbery that happened nearly three years ago.
A home in the 3500 block of Corbett Road was robbed in November 2010, according to the sheriff's office. Officers said they didn't have many leads.
Evidence from the home was sent to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations. The sheriff's office said the results linked Calvin Matthew Trollinger Jr. to the crime.
Deputies obtained a warrant to get a DNA sample from Trollinger. They said that sample matched results from the SBI.
Officers said they arrested Trollinger on September 9 and charged him for the break-in and theft. He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. His first appearance in court is pending.
