Butler County, OH -- At least 34 people were injured after a Greyhound bus overturned on an interstate in southwestern Ohio.

Officials with the Butler County Emergency Operations Center said in a statement that the bus, carrying 52 people, was headed northbound on Interstate 75 when it overturned about 26 miles north of Cincinnati at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday

Authorities said 34 people were transported to area hospitals. They said six were taken from the scene by medical helicopters, and 28 others taken to hospitals by ambulance.

Greyhound dispatched an additional bus to transport the uninjured passengers.

William Brown was asleep inside the bus when it overturned. He was headed to Detroit to visit his family.

"I never thought that I would be part of an incident that occurred, especially today, just trying to get home to see my family," Brown said to WHIO. "I'm just glad that a lot of people are still alive and OK."
