GREENSBORO - People in the Triad will be able to see the launch of NASA's spacecraft heading to the Moon Friday night.
The launch in Virginia is scheduled at 11:27 p.m. In the Triad, the spacecraft should be visible two minutes later at 11:29 p.m.
The Ladee spacecraft is going to the moon to study the atmosphere and dust. It will be visible low on the northeast horizon.
