GREENSBORO, N.C. -- After putting the vote off from their last meeting in August, Greensboro city leaders reach an agreement on loaning money to operators of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum.

Council members voted 6-3 to give a $1.5 million loan to the museum. The vote came after council members listened to public comments on the issue.

Some taxpayers were for and some were against giving the loan to museum owners.

The council also voted to consider a time limit for the council meetings. They decided to start meetings at 5:30 p.m. They also made a goal to end the meetings by 10:30 p.m. They are also considering additional meetings each month.
