Rowan County, NC -- A Greensboro man is behind bars after officers found him with cocaine during a routine traffic stop.
Officers stopped a silver Acura headed south on Interstate 85 Thursday. Deputies say they smelled marijuana inside the vehicle as they approached.
Deputies then told Anthony Leroy McMahon, 36, of Greensboro, to get out of the car. As he did, officers say they noticed a plastic bag, containing 26 grams of cocaine, protruding from his waistband.
Officers also found a gram of marijuana in McMahon's car and confiscated $1,352.
McMahon is charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II cocaine; misdemeanor possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He's being held in the Rowan County jail under a $20,000 secured bond.
Deputies say McMahon was already on probation from a Sept. 2012 conviction for felony possession of cocaine in Guilford County. His wrap sheet also includes convictions for felony larceny, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and several traffic offenses.
Deputies from Rowan and Iredell Counties made the arrest during a joint interstate enforcement campaign.
