Greensboro, NC -- Whether you have a house full or you are a party of one, you have a home and "stuff" to manage!
Laura Redd, of Laura Redd Interiors, is using the News 2 kitchen to show all of us how to make a command center.
"You may have room you use as an office, but even so, the kitchen is where everyone goes."
It's all too easy to make it junky. Laura's solution includes: velcro, cork board, a pencil holder, stacking trays and folders and one half of a cabinet.
"When you open the cabinet everything you need is tucked inside."
The corkboard is sectioned out so everyone in the family knows where to look for their notes or schedule. The files have the papers you need on hand. There is a pen, scissors, and notepad because it just seems like you need all three all the time.
Laura says to make the command center work, be consistent for 2 weeks. After that, it will be routine and you won't even think about it!
