Police: Juvenile Suspects Beat, Rob Man; One In Custody

Burlington, NC -- A 16-year-old suspect is in police custody, and charges are pending against three other juveniles after they assaulted and robbed a man Saturday, police say.

The crime happened in the 400 block of N. Logan St. Officers came to the scene at 6:48 p.m. and found the victim, who said he had been robbed and assaulted by about eight black males.

The victim told police the suspects stole money from him and ran toward Webb Avenue. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the assault and did not need medical attention. 

Officers did spot several juvenile suspects running from the area once they made it to the scene. After an investigation, police identified four suspects in the assault and robbery.

Jaiquan Montique McDaniel, 16, of Greensboro, is charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, simple assault and larceny. He's being held int he Alamance County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Police say charges against the remaining three suspects are still pending.
