Greensboro, NC -- On Tuesday, the Good Morning Show crew left the land behind to talk seafood.
Yul Bennerman, Chef and Owner of Salt Marsh Willie's Seafood Express, joined the crew with some of his favorite recipes.
Salt Marsh Willie's Seafood was a Greensboro staple for years thanks to Bennerman's father.
Last month, Yul Bennerman decided to carry on the tradition. He opened his restaurant in downtown Greensboro with some of the same family recipes.
Bennerman shared his seafood gumbo, which is a favorite among the lunch crowd.
Bennerman said he uses smoked beef sausage instead of pork sausage in his gumbo.
The Blackened Tilapia Sandwich is another favorite at Saltmarsh Willie's Seafood Express.
Bennerman said the secret is to use a cast iron pan to blacken the fish.
If you'd like to check out Saltmarsh Willie's Seafood Express, it's located at 114 N. Elm Street in downtown Greensboro.
They're open over lunch, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
