Greensboro, N.C.--The field has been set for the USA Rugby DIA Men's College National Championship to be held on Saturday, May 18 at 7:00 pm at the UNCG Soccer Stadium. Life University defeated rival Arkansas State 18-13 to advance to the championship game where they will play the Gaels of St. Mary's College.
The St. Mary's Gaels took out Cal Poly 58-24 in the USA Rugby National Championship Series Playoffs. The DIA College National Championship game will be the culmination of a weekend of rugby in Greensboro.

The evening will begin with a spectacular demonstration by the Repel and Recovery Team from the US Veterans Corps. US Congressman Howard Coble will be part of the pre-game festivities honoring the fives branches of the military and will also include a national anthem performance by Greensboro City Councilmember T. Dianne Bellamy-Small.
The game ball will be delivered by four former Golden Knights from the All Veterans Parachute Team. An elite performance group, the All Veterans Parachute Team is led by SFC Mike Elliott who tandem jumped with President George H.W. Bush on his 83rd birthday and is one of America's most acclaimed sky divers with over 9,000 jumps.
The weekend will start with youth rugby games sponsored by the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union at Oka T. Hester Park and UNCG Recreation Field. Two youth state championships will be determined at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.
