Ohio Murder Suspect Arrested In Greensboro

Greensboro, NC -- Police arrested a man wanted for murder in Ohio Friday night in Greensboro.

The Warren Township Police Department contacted Greensboro police around 8 p.m. Friday because they had reason to believe a murder suspect from that area was here in Greensboro.

Patrick Lawson Heltzel, 20, was wanted for first-degree murder and larceny of an automobile in Ohio. Warren Township police put out an alert for Heltzel and the stolen vehicle.

Greensboro police spotted the vehicle traveling south on Hilltop Road at 8:50 p.m. Friday. An officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Heltzel without incident, according to a news release.

Police served warrants for possession of a stolen automobile and a fugitive warrant for first-degree murder.

Police are currently holding Heltzel in the Guilford County jail.
