Triad -- Sunday was a chilly and wet day from beginning to end. We were in the 30s all day long. We will likely be in the 30s all night long too.
There is another batch of rain pulling in overnight. With lows falling to the low to mid 30s, most of us should see just rain showers. However, the closer you get to the Virginia border, the cooler the temperatures are likely to be. Some places could pick up a light winter mix during the night. With ground temperatures above freezing, there shouldn't be too many problems. There could potentially be accumulations of one to two inches- mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces in our Virginia border counties.
There could be a few patches of black ice on Monday morning. Be extra careful when walking and driving. After that, temps will rise to the upper 40s. It will still be cool though. Winds will be out of the west 15-20, with gusts up to 30 mph. There's also a 20% chance of a sprinkle or shower.
We spend one more day in the 40s on Tuesday. There's a 30% chance of a shower and the breeze continues.
By the second half of the week, highs will be in the low 50s. Upper 50s aren't out of reach for Easter weekend. Still, the average high is in the mid 60s.
