Greensboro, NC -- You're going to want to grab a fork for this story.

On the corner of South Elm & Lee Streets is a pound cake paradise, The Sweet Shop.

On the wall is a picture of Margaret Elaine's mom. She is the reason Margaret is in business. "When I was a little girl, I was beside her baking."

Her mom taught her how to bake cakes and now Margaret is teaching her two sons how to bake cakes.

"They both learned how to bake when they were 10!"

Now, you may think, 'what's the big deal, it's cake!' but more than that!

"Baking is very precise", says son Brandon.  "It's a chemistry class in itself, you're in a laboratory mixing up the cake. especially with pound cake, it's a tempermental recipe."

Ask the people eating the cakes and they'll tell you they haven't tasted cake like this in 30 years. "The smell illicits something inside of people, it's emotional."

The Sweet Shop has more than 150 flavors. the most unusual? Watermelon! But the cake with the following is the Banana Pudding Pound Cake. The folks at The Sweet Shop call it their "Taylor Swift or the Beyonce of cakes".

When Margaret looks at the pound cakes she bakes, she sees more than cake.

"It's the overwhelming thought that I can make people's lives better. That's what keeps me going. Just knowing I've made someone smile, or bring something back from the past, go back in time, just through a pound cake."
