Eden, NC -- Everyone gets excited about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but one day that often gets overlooked is nestled right in-between, Small Business Saturday.  It's the day when we show our appreciation for the little guys that keep our country's economy going.

According to the Small Business Administration, small businesses account for 99.7 percent of the United States' businesses that hire workers.  Also, small businesses employ almost half of the workers in the United States.

The folks in Eden are celebrating small business and urging you to get out there and buy local.  Mike Dougherty, Director of Economic Development and Main Street Manager for the City of Eden, along with Lisa Goldsworthy, the owner of June Marie Boutique, joined Jackie Fernandez on the Weekend Good Morning Show to talk about Small Business Saturday, and why you should buy local.

The June Marie Boutique is located on Washington Street in historic Olde Leaksville in Eden.  For more information about the boutique, click here
