Greensboro, NC -- Three local young men may change the way parents, teachers, and students communicate.

Ray Cockerham, Greg Vinson, and Kenneth Zuniga graduated from Greensboro's Weaver Academy and their app has caught the attention of Microsoft.

Right now, the Weaver App is available on Windows Phone. It lets people see the course listing of Weaver Academy, contact teachers directly, and figure out how to get to the campus.

The received a grant from Microsoft to develop the app after a teacher asked them to work on it. They hope to expand the app to other schools in Guilford County and put it on other platforms -- iPhone, Android, and Balckberry.

They have graduated from Weaver Academy and will attend UNCG in the fall, while running their own programming business.
