Meleshia Daye Roseborough was dreaming of a beautiful wedding day when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. She was only 24-years-old.
Despite her illness, she was still determined to have a perfect wedding. WFMY News 2 documented her journey towards recovery and down the isle. Last fall, she married her fiance, Samuel Roseborough.
Meleshia stopped by the Good Morning Show today to update us on her progress to recovery and about the joys of married life. Meleshia believes in doing whatever it takes to make sure cancer is detected early. She told us last year that a doctor told her not to worry about a biopsy because of her young age and she wishes she had gotten a second opinion.
Nora Jones of Sister's Network Greensboro joined us as well to tell us about "Wait and See Doesn't Work For Me" Breast Cancer Symposium this upcoming weekend.
The "Wait and See Doesn't Work For Me" Breast Cancer Symposium is this Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 10 am to 2 pm. The symposium will be held at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons at 3121 High Point Rd. in Greensboro.
