Randleman -- Dylan Henley, a high school senior, needed an idea for his senior project. And you might say watching blue paint dry, sparked his idea.
A family friend had been making and selling blue trailers. Henley decided to also build one and paint it pink to raise money for mammograms.
His inspiration came from his aunt who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993. She won her battle and now her nephew is carrying on the fight against the disease.
All the money will go to the Randolph Hospital Mammogram Fund. He has already put more than $1,000 into the trailer and has decided not to be reimbursed for his expenses. If you buy a ticket, every penny will go toward mammograms.
He is currently selling $5 raffle tickets. There will be a drawing at 1:00 on Sunday, January 29. If you would like a chance to win, Henley will be at Tractor Supply in Asheboro on Saturday, January 14 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
If you would like more information, you can send him an e-mail at Henleyjoe1407@yahoo.com or call (336) 498-7289.
