Greensboro, NC -- The Women's Resource Center of Greensboro has a quote on their website which says, "Think of us as a library, law office, career center and Kleenex box all rolled into one."
The WRC is a place where women can go to find out about resources available in the community. There is plenty of help out there, whether your need is employment, physical and mental health, resources for older women, education, financial, community support services, or issues and services for the many needs of family.
There is also a free attorney hotline, resource counseling, self-esteem and other workshops, computer access and a library.
One thing which makes the center special is that when a woman comes in looking for help, she gets it, but the work isn't done for her. She is given the resources and connections to take matters into her own hands. Empowerment allows a woman to not only get back on their feet- but to move forward with her life.
