The money raised the next three days will help transport atletes to the Special Olympics competitions.
Greensboro, NC -- Windy weather can't keep a good cop down.
Guilford County deputies stood on top of the Chick-fil-a at Friendly Shopping Center in Greensboro Thursday.
They're raising money to help the 38,000 Special Olympics athletes compete, and they're hard work is not going unnoticed.
"I think it's great," said Special Olympics athlete Bryan Evans. "We could use the money 'cause some of our equipment is getting too old for us, and we need new equipment."
The money raised the next three days will also go to help transport athletes to the Special Olympics competitions.
The deputies will be on top of the Chick-fil-a through Saturday at 4 pm.
Last year they raised $8,000, the most in the state.
