GREENSBORO, NC -- There are so many apps out there, it helps to know someone else has used them with success.

Matt Logan of Matt Logan, Inc shared his top 6 apps with 2WTK.

Mint QuickviewThis app was created by intuit and it is a great tool for budgeting and getting a handle on spending. "I especially recommend it to clients who have no idea how much they spend each month.  You can log all of your accounts and it will help you keep track of your budget.  My lovely  wife Evan  is a huge fan of this app and uses it to handle the family's personal budget."

ExpensifyIf you travel for business a lot or have any need to keep an expense report for yourself, this is a great app.  It allows you to scan receipts, record mileage and keep track of time for time based expenses.  "I use this application because I do not spend a lot of time traveling for business, but those who do swear by it."

Yahoo FinanceFor those of you who follow or trade stocks on your own, this is a really well planned out app.  It has a lot of information in a very easy format.  "It allows you to list out all of the companies that you want to follow and you can easily navigate to a wealth of information.  This is not a stock trading application, just an information source."

Tip Check CalculatorThis is a simple app.  Matt says he used to wait tables.  "Knowing that I was not very good at it, I would always remember when people would maybe have a little much to drink and leave a very large tip.  This may save you some money by calculating your tip for you."  It may also help the other way, you definitely don't want to leave too little as a tip by accident to your server.

EZ Financial CalculatorsIf you want to know how much you would pay monthly for a loan for a home or car, this application can tell you in a very efficient manner.  "I use this frequently with clients as it is a way to help evaluate loans and debt payoffs as well as compounding rates over time.  One function that I use on this app frequently is showing what extra payments will do to the loan."

GoalGetter This app will help you set goals, prioritize them and it will give you an idea of the amount of time it will take to save for these goals.  It is a neat app. "It can tell you that you will need to save X dollars more just to get to your stated goal.  If you are saving money for that trip to Disney with the kids, that Kitchen remodel or that new car, this may be a good app for you."
