GREENSBORO, N.C.-- There was a lot of pink seen Wednesday night at Hanes Gymnasium on the campus of Greensboro College.
The Volleyball team for the school was competing against William Peace University, but beating breast cancer was what the Pride was really aiming to do.
Greensboro College's players and fans were participating in Play4theCure. It's a fundraising event across the country by sports teams. Proceeds benefit the National Foundation for Cancer Research's Play4theCure.
T-shirts, wristbands and volleyballs were on sale. Anyone who came to the game were also given health tips and information about breast cancer.
A special dedication was held for Cancer survivors and a moment of silence for those who lost their lives to the disease.
