Alamance County, NC -- Police arrested a Virginia man Wednesday after a chase through multiple counties, according to the Greensboro Police Department.
Officers initially responded to a break-in on Briarcliff Road in Greensboro right before 11 a.m. When officers confronted 43-year-old Derick Devon Martin, he left the house and ran from police.
Police searched the area and found a vehicle with Virginia a license plate near the house. Detectives later found out the car had been stolen.
As police continued to search for Martin they received a report that he'd forcibly taken another vehicle from someone else in the area.
Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A Guilford County sheriff's deputy told WFMY News 2 Martin used a stolen car to lead officers through Rockingham County, Caswell County and into the Altamahaw community of Alamance County.
Witnesses gave police infomation on the car, and officers found and stopped the vehicle a short time later near Ossippee Front Street in Alamance County.
Police arrested Martin, of Ridgeway, VA, and say he faces multiple criminal and traffic charges.
Greensboro police, as well as deputies from Guilford, Rockingham and Alamance Counties helped catch the suspect.
