Greenville, NC -- Police released the name of the suspect in Friday's Greenville shooting, as well as more information on his shooting spree.
Greenville Police say 23-year-old Lakim Anthony Faust faces four counts of attempted murder for shooting four people--one at a Kellum Law Firm and three at the Wal-Mart off Greenville Boulevard.
Faust is still at the Vidant Medical Center after suffering gunshot wounds when he exchanged gunfire with police. While his condition has not been released, police say they took him into custody at the hospital.
Detectives searched Faust's apartment on Hartford Street in Greenville and sent all evidence to an FBI lab for processing, police said.
Police still don't know Faust's motive in the case, but they say he intended "to inflict mass casualties on innocent people."
Detectives still have not released the victims' names.
The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case, which is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings.
