Jonesville, NC -- Police arrested and charged a Yadkin County couple for starving animals to death at their Jonesville home.
Officers arrested Rose Anna Hagler, 38, and charged her with four counts of Felony Killing Animal by Starvation on Jan. 11. And, Zealous Hagler was arrested and charged with three counts Sunday.
An anonymous caller contacted the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office after seeing two dead dogs in a kennel behind the Haglers' Jonesville home.
Yadkin County Animal Control, along with deputies, went to the home and found dead animals as well as other "obviously emaciated" animals, according to the sheriff's office.
Rose Hagler is being held under a $20,200 secured bond, and Zealous Hagler is being held under a $50,000 unsecured bond.
