Privacy rules for some of your favorite online sites have changed, again. Google is switching things up and you could see your face in certain ads on the site! It's part of what they call their shared endorsement feature. The site says it only applies to products or ads you "plus one" or comment on. Their goal is to give your friends and connections better results. But if you're not interested, its simple to stop.

Step by Step Explanation:

-Go to

-At the bottom right, you'll see privacy and terms. Click there.

-It'll bring up the policies and principles page. On the right, you'll see Terms of Service/ Summary of Changes.

-When you click Summary of Changes, it'll bring up the Cliff Notes version of what you need to know about the newest updates. In all this text, focus on Shared Endorsement Settings. Click there.

-Scroll down and you'll see the line: "Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads." If you don't want your picture and face in ads uncheck that box. Save your selection.

Jump Directly To Terms of Service Page

Click here, click on "Shared Endorsement Setting" and log into your google account to finish opting out.
