Greensboro, NC -- Habitat for Humanity. When you hear those words you immediately think building and construction. You should! But there are more than construction opportunities.
2WTK spent time at a Habitat build in Greensboro. Tammy Tierny, Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations talked about the non-construction volunteer opportunities.
Non-Construction Volunteer Opportunities with Habitat Greensboro
- Volunteer Host: Enjoy working with people? Consider serving as a Volunteer Host on a Saturday that's convenient for you. From 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., you will set up the volunteer sign-in area, greet volunteers at the construction site, and help with volunteer registration and lunch set-up. Volunteer by yourself or with a friend!
- ReStore Volunteer: ReStore is our retail store that's open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We're always looking for volunteers to help us stock shelves, serve as cashiers; make minor repairs to furniture and more.
- Administrative Volunteer: Looking for a way to use your office skills while making a difference? Join our team of office volunteers who serve in a variety of ways.
- Lunch Ministry: Want to help build a home without raising a hammer? Your group can volunteer on a Saturday to make and bring lunch to volunteers, homeowners and staff who are working at a Habitat construction site.
