Emergency kit for your car
Greensboro, NC -- Fall means back on schedule and re-organizing life in general. Your car included.
AAA trip expert Amanda Notarfonzo braved Monday's rainy weather with 2WTK in the News 2 garage to talk about what you should have in your car.
AAA has a whole list of items people should have, but Amanda highlighted two of the items she considers indispensable and why.
"The wind up flashlight. A lot of people have flashlights, but the batteries die. We forget how long ago we put the flashlight in there. This way, you don't have to worry. And a blanket. it's simple, but it can really come in handy if you get stranded."
On many websites, you'll see a candle and a book of matches recommended. The suggestion is usually followed by a statement a candle can keep you warm for an hour or more.
Amanda says, it's not on any AAA literature, but she too has heard that, and in fact has both in her car.
