Greensboro, NC -- It's hard to believe but one man in North Carolina was convicted of his 17th, yes 17th Driving While Impaired charge.

NC Man Convicted of 17th DWI
2 Wants to Know decided to dig into his background. The list of Ronnie Dodd's convictions is long. Sixteen pages in fact. The papework includes everything from DWI, Habitual Impaired Driving, Escape From Prison, Larcency, Drives License Permanently Revoked. It goes on and on. Seventeen convictions in all.
Just recently, Dodd was sentenced to seven years. A lot of people have been asking how can all this happen in one county and this be the first time he's serving time.
Let's set the record straight. His convictions are from counties all over: Alamance, Buncombe, Henderson, Yancey, Rowan and McDowell.
This isn't the first time Dodd will serve time. If you total up all the prison time he's served, it's about 10 years.
He's served time for everything from DWI, Escaping Prison, Eluding Police, Stealing, Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Back again, all total no more than 10 years and his crimes date back all the way to 1983.
