Montgomery County, NC -- It's happened, again! Yet another Academy Eye Associates patient has a refund check.
Cindy Williams says she's been a patient of Dr. Danford Raynor for at least 12 years and nothing like this has ever happened.
Williams went to see Dr. Raynor back in April. She ordered glasses and paid for them. Five weeks later, she didn't have the glasses, her money or a response from the business office of Academy Eye Associates.
"He is a good eye doctor and I'm disappointed that this had to happen."
Like several others, Cindy called 2WTK Call for Action. The team worked her case and now she has her $199.00 in hand.
2WTK has talked to Dr. Raynor in the past. He told us that a switch in management billing companies caused some patients to slip through the cracks.
Every week, 2WTK gets calls or emails from patients who are also waiting on their products or refunds. We will work each case. Dr. Raynor says he is working to make things right. He even put cash in a patient's mailbox as a refund.
